Please allow us to introduce ourselves...
The Bowie Ukes formed in March 2018, with foundations cemented firmly in fun, friendship and more fun.
Since then we’ve hosted family fun days and charity events in many venues across Merseyside. We've played gigs at Allerton Manor Golf Club, opened Bickerstock Festival and stormed the main stage at The Great Ukulele Summer Strum. No one is more amazed than us at how fast our reputation has grown in such a short time. A documentary chronicling our journey is currently available to watch on our YouTube channel.
Presently we have 35 members, of all ages and musical tastes. Alongside the ukulele we play the accordion, harmonica, tin whistle, flute, saxophone, bass guitar, fiddle and banjolele. We started gigging in June 2018 in the Bowring Park Pub where we practice every Tuesday evening from 7.
We have a tremendous family spirit and welcome anyone who wants to join us or come to our gigs.
